Svetovna zveza sindikatov WFTU, ki zastopa 82 milijonov članov iz 120 držav po vsem svetu, je v svojem solidarnostnem sporočilu, ki ga je poslala vsem slovenskim sindikalnim centralam, močno podprla splošno stavko zaposlenih v javnem sektorju, ki se je odvijala 23. januarja 2013. INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY WITH THE SLOVENIAN GOVERNMENT WORKERS
The World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) expresses it solidarity with the struggle of the public sector workers of Slovenia, who on January 23 held a strike against pay cuts and layoffs planned by the Slovenian government.
These anti-labor policies are part of the general offensive against the rights of the working people all over the European Union. The international capitalist crisis is used as a pretext, so that workers’ and people’s rights, won through tough workers struggles in the past, can be eliminated, in order to serve the interests of multinational corporations and the monopolies. The working people are not responsible for the crisis. Therefore, they shouldn’t pay for it.
On behalf of its 82 million affiliates in 120 countries of the world, the WFTU unites its voice with that of the public sector workers of Slovenia and stands on their side for full satisfaction of their demands.
